Ok. Non-Muslim readers, particularly Singaporean ones. Hari Raya is not our new year. I’d just like to make this clear. Hari Raya Puasa, or Hari Raya AidilFitri which is the more accepted term, or Eid ul Fitr in the Arab world, falls on the 1st day of the 10th month of the Muslim calendar. So obviously, it’s not a new year.

And to get you in the mood for Eid, on the left hand side, there’s a list of over 200 Hari Raya songs (all Malay of course). It automatically plays. You can even expand the player into a standalone format (provided you have an imeem account) so you can play the entire playlist out of my blog.
