3 things you should know about Web 2.0 design
Hazrul Azhar Jamari • 20th Apr 2009 • My Notes, Business, Internet Presence, My Notes • Ajax, FAQs Help and Tutorials, Flash, JavaScript, Languages, Programming, Proprietary, Website
- Simplicity over clutter. Don’t try to cram everything into one page. Humans can’t grab information in so many places. So present information in less clutterredness
- AJAX over Flash. I don’t care what you say. Flash is still evil to me. It’s proprietary and heavy. If you need to move things. Use AJAX. It’s functional, degradable and impressive.
- Use BIG FONTS. 12px is the minimum one should use for today’s websites. I don’t understand why some old skool designers still use 8px for text! Please spare my eyes from advanced myopia.
